And from this we Live.

This wonderful hymn, is sung in community as a round, has the power of a chant and captures a profound truth in its simple tune. Join us this week with your completed pledge card as we sing this round together, and begin our 2011-2012 Annual Budget Drive on Sunday, March 6th.

In the past year, we finalized and then embarked on our five-year strategic plan. The plan captures our many dreams for the future and consists of six priority areas. The work is exciting, and already in Year 1 several initiatives are underway, and solid recommendations are on hand to be funded next year:

• A Signature Social Justice Project that will engage our whole community.
• Staffing to nourish our growing congregation: a full-time Ministries Administrator, half-time Facilities and Finance Administrator, and a full-time-equivalent janitorial support to help our building shine and to create a cleaner and more appealing home.
• Technology improvements for enhanced visuals and sound in our Sunday Services and Religious Education classes.
• Continuation of the process to create a long-lasting, beautiful spiritual home for ourselves and the next generation. This includes money to make improvements and repairs without special close-the-gap and emergency repair petitions.

The funds needed to support this work are well within our grasp. For this coming year, our goal is to raise $500,000 in pledges. This is a balanced increase over last year’s budget, and with your help we can reach this goal.

Each of us is on a unique spiritual journey, and one very rewarding path is our individual generosity. Are you able this year to make a move along the path from MUF Supporter to Sustainer to Visionary? We are all in community together, so this year, if you are more able to make a jump in contributions of 10%, 15%, 50%, or 100%, please do! It will feel good and be so very helpful to the entire Fellowship. Or you can view the Fair-Share guidelines by clicking on FAIR SHARE to give you some ideas on how to visualize and achieve your goal for generous giving.

There are multiple ways to submit your pledge: 1) return your pledge card, which you received in the mail, to the Fellowship either by return mail or hand it in at the Pledge Table. The table will be available after services every Sunday in March, or 2) take 5 minutes now and click SUBMIT PLEDGE to electronically record your pledge (print a copy for your records).

The 2011-2012 Pledge includes several payment options, including both direct debit from your checking or savings account and automatic credit card payment. If you select either the debit or credit payment option, you may fill out the PAYMENT OPTION FORM and return it directly to the MUF office. In order for us to estimate our cash flow for the forthcoming year, it is important that you indicate your payment cycle.

Last year’s incentive prize was fun and successful. This year, submit your pledge by March 31st to be eligible for an inCredible iNcentive Prize – an Apple iPad!

When our Minister Alison Miller returns from sabbatical and brings us her renewed energy and inspiration, your pledge and support for MUF will be in place. She will draw the winning ticket for the Apple iPad between the services. NOTE: you can earn two chances to win. Your First chance is earned if you submit your pledge on or before March 31 st. If you do that, then you can earn a Second Chance if you sign up for direct deposit or credit card payments.
